[ Poe was glad that he could make a friend out of Ben, even if General Organa may have suggested it. He wasn't just going to force it from the other either. That's not how things worked. Talking, conversing, is mostly what the pilot did with others. He would try to get their full stories. So if he sees something that's bothering them out on a mission.
